Day trip to Settle

Dropped Caroline off at the railway station at Settle, Yorkshire Dales, today & took some time to explore & have a coffee - all in the name of research of course. Well worth a trip over, it is a beautiful little town with really interesting old buildings, great shops & cafes. I had great coffee & freshly baked scones at Car and Kitchen. They have a fab clothing floor upstairs & gifts & kitchen equipment on the ground floor.
You could make a lovely day out from Shaw End traveling through Kirkby Lonsdale (another pretty village, good shopping) & Ingleton (waterfall walks) to Settle & then perhaps on to Skipton (castle & canal boats).
